Dr. Dale Levitt

Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Dale Levitt attended Rutgers University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science in 2012. Dr. Levitt then went on to veterinary school and graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2016. Following veterinary school, he spent a year in a busy general practice before joining the Community team.

Prior to and during veterinary school, Dale worked as a veterinary technician at two different veterinary hospitals. His special interests include ophthalmology, veterinary dentistry, and exotics medicine. He is constantly working to further his knowledge and skills to provide his patients with the best possible care. In July of 2017, he completed a 3 day series of courses on advanced canine and feline dentistry at the Animal Dental Training Center in Baltimore, MS. He also enjoys listening to veterinary podcasts during his commute to work, and is frequently reading veterinary journals.

During his free time, Dr. Levitt enjoys doing a variety of dog training activities. He primarily does scent work training with one of his dog’s, Fynnegan. He is trained to find odors like birch, anise, and clove. He also has 2 Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers named Sirius and Riley who both do agility with his wife. Whenever he is not training with his dogs, he enjoys cooking, running, and hiking throughout New England.
